7.1.1 Opening the H/V tool box
Open a 3-components signal in the graphic viewer and click on menu "Tool/H/V", or alternatively click on the "H/V" icon in the tool bar (Figure 1). Then the H/V tool box appears on the screen (Figure 2).

The H/V tool box is divided into two parts: the processing and the windowing tabs. In the "Processing" tab, you can set the parameters for process the H/V computation (the smoothing function, the frequency range, etc ...). In the "Windowing" tab you have several tools to define the windows selection. See the following section for more details.
Warning
If, for a given signal, the station name are not the same for each component, then an on-screen error message appears (see Figure 3). In this case check and correct the station name.
