Geopsy is currently not reading SEISAN waveforms. Thanks to your message, I've read SEISAN file format specification and I found that things are not straight forward to implement. SEISAN is built upon unformatted Fortran files which depend upon the platform that generated the file (and also SEISAN version).

Implementing this format for Geopsy would require at least a few days of work and testing. Your contribution would be pretty welcome.

SEISAN can convert to more standard formats like GSE, Miniseed or SAC. Geopsy can read these waveform formats.

Reading complete SEISAN databases is another topic. The relevancy of such compatibility should be first studied: objectives of these two softwares are initially not exactly the same.

Seisan converts its format into SAF files - seisaf routine. These seisan.saf files are also compatible with jsesame and geopsy.

You're right, however, SAF format is rather restrictive for the number of channels. If you want to export only vertical components for instance. I don't if SEISAN lets you export only one component in the SAF file with zeros for the other two components. Any experience about that?

seisei splits the .seisan file as "channels"; you can convert them with seisaf routine: one component in the SAF file with zeros for the other two components.
Look at this example.
