FK toolbox process type: Active process

Post by luigiV »

Hi Marc,
scrolling through the .max file of an FK process you will come across a comment zone where there is a list of the types of processes that are much more numerous than those that can be used by choosing from those listed in the FK toolbox. I suppose that these are processes that will be available in future releases of Geopsy, but I observe that there are also "experimental modes" (vertical active) ones included among those currently activated by FK toolbox (but active vertical Capon is not in the list). I could not find any documentation, except for the well known linear array, regarding the data acquisition mode, number of shots, record length etc.
Is it possible to have some specifics about it?

Thanks

Hi Luigi,

I'm currently trying to finish a paper about some improvements of FK processing and in particular 3C for ambient vibrations. There will be certainly an extension to active experiments. These types of process will be revised for the nest releases with probably less experimental cases and more process types available in the GUI. It is time consuming and probably useless to further document the current status of 3.4.2 when it is going to be obsolete in a few months.

Best regards,

Marc
