Dear Marc,
I am using sesarray-win-2.0.5. So far , I have done H/V calculations.
Now, for doing elipticity curves for those H/V ratios , how to proceed. Iam also planning to do the 1d simulation of the H/V curves.
What is the procedure for carrying out these featuress in this package??
Elipticity curves
Extracting ellipticity curve from a single station measurements is still not a fully validated technique. Contrary to a dispersion curve, if the amplitude is slightly biased you may get very different velocity profiles. Inverting ellipticity curves can be only viewed as an add-on to array measurements or when Vs is already known by other methods.
The geopsy module in charge of computing ellipticity curves will not be distributed freely before a number of reliable publications are available.
Basic H/V simulations are not supported by geopsy. Keep in mind that H/V amplitudes depend strongly on the measurement conditions. The amplitudes can vary along with time at the same site (hence for the same structure). Inverting this curve is simply NOT reliable unless you perfectly know the wavefield contents at the time of the experiment (rather impossible nowadays).
