saf data into geopsy

Post by corine »

Dear Marc,

I have a file in saf format that I would like to open in Geopsy, but I got the following error.

Unknown format for D:/DOCUMENTS/VULCANO/soil_project_BocarSy/export_SAF/maridel3_001part1/EqualizedFile.saf

Based on the guideline, I tried to compare the content of this file with the guideline provided on saf format, my questions are :

- SESAME ASCII data format (saf) v. 1 - should v.1 be present in the sentence ?
- is the order of parameter, especially SAMP_FREQ, NDAT, mandatory ?

I tried to play with the file, i.e. adding v.1., order of parameters, but I am still unable to open it in Geopsy, any suggestion ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Corine,

I would need some more information:
  • A copy of the header and the first lines of the file or can you post the complete file? If this forum does not accept it, send it be email.
  • Your geopsy version and platform (I guess windows), menu "About/Geopsy" or by running 'geopsy -version'

export format

Dear Marc,

Since then the problem has been resolved. The v.1 is the key issue. It needs to be written and there is a need of a space between v. and the number 1 to be accepted by geopsy (the version I have is v.2.7.0 - windows).

Ok, I will modify it to accept any version. Do you know if SAF format is still evolving or 2.7.0 is the definitive version delivered at the end of SESAME project?
