Dear Marc,
I would like to test the joint inversion of ellipticity curves and dispersion curves on a large dataset, so I would like to call Dinver from the command line. Should I add my ellipticity curve to the .target file using gptarget? Is there a specific syntax to do that?
I have a similar question regarding the case I want to jointly invert my dispersion curve and the ellipticity peak (instead of the whole ellipticity curve).
Thanks a lot,
Ilaria

Re: joint inversion HV-DC from command line
Dear Ilaria,
Yes, you can add an ellipticity curve to a target file with gptarget. See "-h add" for details. When you create many target files, check a few target files with the graphical interface to view the curves (File/import target). I checked in the help page of gptarget and I can see no way to add an ellipticity peak. The only way would be to edit the XML manually. A target file is a compressed XML file that you can unpack with "tar". Dinver accepts reading packed or raw XML files. Unpack an existing target file with an ellipticity peak to get the structure.

Dear Marc,
Thanks a lot, I just realized the "add -ellipticity" option of gptarget is active since the geopsy version 3.5.1, while I was working with the 3.4.2. Now it should be fine.
For the ellipticity peak, I'll give it a try by editing the XML.
Thank you.
Ilaria
