Importing SAC files

Post by kassaras »

1. When trying to import multiple sac files, the information table appears empty.

2. Although the component names are set, when applying H/V it does not recognize them.

I attach 3 sac data files.

SAC file are perfectly read in geopsy. This is the main format used during SESAME project. I checked the files you submitted and they correctly open. The information about components is also available. Hence processing them with H/V tool is ok.

Please read geopsy documentation (opening files, using signal viewers,...). It is not covering everything but at least these basic operations are documented. In particular, you can read the section about "File import".

Hope these comments will help you. Feel free to precise the encountered problems if needed.

File import

Post by kassaras »

Dear Marc

There is an option in the signal plot properties. "Use receiver coordinates".
If this is checked and coordinates are not set, the signal is not appeared in the graph. I think you should include this in the manual.

Best regards

You're right. I will add a warning if this option is selected with signals having all the same coordinates.

Thanks for you feedback.
